Last Tuesday October 20th, volunteers throughout San Diego County gathered to support the 26th Annual Kids’ NewsDay to benefit Rady Children’s Hospital of San Diego. Dressed to the nines in yellow aprons, volunteers set out to sell special editions of the Union-Tribune spotlighting the advances being made and lives being changed at Rady Children’s.
This year’s event raised roughly $100,000 with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage offices collecting over $5,000. Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage was also the title sponsor of the Kids’ NewsDay Essay Contest. The winners of the contest were presented with iPad Minis on NBC7’s midday news broadcast for sharing their inspiring stories.
Kids’ NewsDay is a fundraising event organized by Rady Children’s Hospital Auxiliary in special partnership with the San Diego Union Tribune and NBC 7 San Diego.
