Five “Best Home” Nominees Inspired by Emmy-Nominated Shows

Ever since nominees for the 67th Emmy Awards were released, TV fans everywhere have been chomping at the bit to see who will be taking home the golden statue. By now you have probably heard that Game of Thrones is leading the pack with 24 Emmy nods, but will newcomer Better Call Saul steal the show? You’ll have to tune in Sunday, September 20th at 8pm on Fox to see if the fantasy drama is dethroned, not to mention watch funny man Andy Samberg’s hosting skills.

Since we simply can’t wait until Sunday for all the winners to be revealed, we decided to give you little Emmy pre-screening—real estate style. We gathered 5 homes inspired by our favorite Emmy-nominated shows. Trust us, you’re going to want to take a closer look at these award-worthy California pads fit for our beloved small screen darlings.

Once you take a look at the contenders, be sure to cast your vote.

Game of Thrones (Outstanding Drama Series)

Who knew that the scenes from King’s Landing were actually filmed in an exclusive enclave of Beverly Hills? Just kidding! Certainly a close resemblance to the iconic city with its red roof and old world charm, we can definitely envision Cersei Lannister’s proclaiming this Spanish villa as her new fortress.

House of Cards (Outstanding Drama Series)

We think that President Underwood and the first lady would most likely seek out a mini White House for their West Coast retreat. Coming in at just over an acre this stately Southern Colonial definitely fits the bill with lush gardens, a championship tennis court, two-story guesthouse, and pool with dining gazebo.

Mad Men (Outstanding Drama Series)

Since we said farewell to Mad Men with Zen Don Draper sitting along the California coast, we found it only fitting to find him a mid-century marvel located in one of Malibu’s premier neighborhoods. We imagine Don basking in the California sunshine as he ponders his next great ad spot.

Malibu, CA 90265
$4,500,000

Empire (Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series- Taraji P. Henson)

The Lyon’s empire is larger than life, so why would we expect anything different form their L.A. pad? Just like Cookie, this contemporary stunner is chic, modern, and truly one of a kind. We’re hoping the home’s 15,500 square feet is enough to avoid any family drama…not likely though.

Modern Family (Outstanding Comedy Series)

Complete with white picket fence, we think this is the picture perfect setting for Claire and brood. Located in the heart of the Huntington Palisades, this traditional home features a beautifully remodeled kitchen—which we all know is the center of all the action in the Dunphy house.

Pacific Palisades, CA 90272
