365 Pacific Avenue
“The defining question should be, ‘What are the intangible needs of the clients, emotional as well as physical?’ The design should embrace the way they live,” said Ken Ronchetti. This architectural philosophy blended with careful attention to form and flow, embody the iconic aesthetic of the infamous architect. An example of Ronchetti’s genius can be found along the cliffs in Solana Beach.
Perched on a coastal bluff overlooking endless blue waters and the San Diego coastline, resides 365 Pacific Avenue. Designed by Ken Ronchetti and built from studs up in 2011, a panoramic ocean view greets guests as they enter through the custom designed pivot front door. The oceanfront lift and slide door systems bring the outside in with caressing sea breezes. A chef’s kitchen, complimented with a cantilevered prep/serving island, a great room, media room (with vanishing walls), workout area, and powder room complete the key room elements on the lower level.
A glass staircase, functionally designed to promote the greatest penetration of natural light into the lower level of this home leads to the second story. Here find three spacious en suite bedrooms and an executive office. The master bedroom suite includes two walk-in closets and a soaking bath and shower with direct ocean views. The executive office connects to a private patio, evoking the sensation as if you are gliding through the never-ending ocean on a luxury yacht.
Expertly fashioned with smart home technologies, Lutron and Savant systems allow for wireless control of the lighting, drapes/shades, entertainment devices, and security. Thoughtful of both the elements and environment, the roof is equipped with solar panels, while the landscaping is comprised of drought resistant plants for water conservation.
Ken Ronchetti’s architectural feat at ocean’s edge skillfully intertwines visionary design with nature. A truly unique property, 365 Pacific Avenue epitomizes the art of Southern California living.
