Southern California Independent Agents Honored in Real Trends The Thousand

Several Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage agents earned the honor of ranking in the Top 1,000 real estate agents and teams in the United States.  The Top 1,000 is a report published in The Wall Street Journal, compiled annually by REAL Trends.  The report ranks agents in residential real estate for their transactions in 2017.  It is divided into four Top 250 categories comparing individual agents and teams on closed transaction sides and closed sales volume.  In order to qualify for the Top 1,000, teams must have closed 75 transaction sides or $30 million in closed sales volume and individuals must have closed 50 transaction sides $20 million in sales volume.

Southern California had two teams ranking in Team Volume and 12 agents ranking in Individual Volume.

TEAM VOLUME

16. The Smith Group:

In addition to “The Thousand,” The Smith Group ranked as the No. 1 Coldwell Banker Team in California and No. 1 out of all teams of four or more team members in North America for Coldwell Banker NRT based on highest closed adjusted gross commission (AGC) income in 2017. Furthermore, they ranked 17 out of the top 250 sales teams in the U.S. by REAL Trends and ranked No. 2 in Tom Ferry’s Top 10 Real Estate Listing Video Creators in 2016. The Smith Group also was named to the Society of Excellence in 2016 and 2017, the highest award presented by Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, which only the top sales professionals attain.

42. The Joyce Rey Team:

In addition to The Thousand list, The Joyce Rey Team is consistently named to the Society of Excellence, Coldwell Banker NRT’s highest award that only the top sales professionals in Coldwell Banker NRT attain. She is dedicated to charitable endeavors such as The Southern California Executive Board for UNICEF, the Los Angeles Public Library Foundation Counsel Advisory Board, The Music Center’s Blue Ribbon and the Coldwell Foundation Board. She is an active member of the Women Presidents’ Organization and the Los Angeles Trusteeship.

INDIVIDUAL VOLUME

2. Chris Cortazzo:

In addition to “The Thousand,” Cortazzo received the Coldwell Banker International President’s Premier award, only given to the top 1 percent of affiliated agents worldwide, last year. He was recognized by Coldwell Banker with the Society of Excellence Award for 2016, which was only presented to 40 affiliated real estate agents, and he additionally received the No. 1 Agent in Southern California award for Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage.

In the past 11 years, Cortazzo has achieved No. 1 status at Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Greater Los Angeles 10 times. Over the past 14 years, Cortazzo has made the Top 10 Sales Associates in North America for AGC list 14 times, achieving the No. 1 status on that list 8 times. He also ranked No.1 in North America in Rental Income twice and has consistently ranked in Coldwell Banker’s elite top 1 percent of agents internationally.

13. Jade Mills:

In addition to “The Thousand,” Mills was named to the Society of Excellence in 2016, Coldwell Banker NRT’s highest award, which only the top sales professionals in Coldwell Banker NRT attain. Mills has facilitated more than $4 billion in real estate transactions in fewer than 14 years. She is currently a board member of the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce and is on the Board of Governors at Cedars-Sinai. The Aviva Foundation has honored her for her support, charitable work and continuous effort to improve the foundation.

42. Ginger Glass:

Glass is a licensed broker in California with a track record of more than 300 real estate deals including having sold the highest priced spec home in the U.S. for $100 million. For the past 24 years, Glass has also been a licensed attorney in six states.

49. Ron Wynn:

Wynn ranked No. 42 in the Wall Street Journal’s Top 400 Real Estate Sales Professionals and has been named as one of the top 100 sales associates by The Wall Street Journal for the past 10 years. He has consistently been among the top 25 agents affiliated with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in California and for several years, he has ranked in the top 10 for the state of California.

84. Ben Lee:

A second-generation Los Angeles native, Lee is a real estate broker that specializes in the Los Angeles’ Westside property market and is also a licensed attorney.

91. Steve Frankel:

A resident of the Beverly Hills area, Frankel has consistently been a top producer in sales and volume. He specializes in homes in Beverly Hills, Sunset Strip, Bel-Air, Mulholland Corridor and the entire Westside. He has consistently ranked in the top 25 of all Southern California Coldwell Banker agents and has also been recognized for his entire career within Coldwell Banker’s Society of Excellence, which represents the top 1 percent of all agents company-wide.

116. Michael Libow:

Libow makes his home in the world-renowned Witch’s House in Beverly Hills, which he renovated over the course of the last twenty years and is a historic landmark within the city. He is actively involved in the school systems, police and fire departments, and a multitude of other ancillary charitable services in Beverly Hills and adjacent communities.

137. Jim Batlle:

153. Mary Lu Tuthill:

In addition to “The Thousand,” Tuthill was named to the Society of Excellence in 2016, Coldwell Banker NRT’s highest award, which only the top sales professionals in Coldwell Banker NRT attain. She has received various awards throughout her career and has helped close more than $1.5 billion in residential real estate transactions in the last 30 years.

182. Rosemary Allison:

194. Ellen Francisco:

Francisco has maintained an award-winning sales record throughout her 38-year career in Malibu real estate. When she is not working with clients, she enjoys raising quarter horses and competing in local and national horse events, including quarter horse shows and American Horse Show Association competitions. Francisco and her horses have received numerous honors and rankings, both locally and nationally.

218. Ash Rizk:

Rizk was also named to the Society of Excellence in 2016, Coldwell Banker NRT’s highest award, which only the top sales professionals in Coldwell Banker NRT attain. Furthermore, he was named to the Society of Excellence from 2013 to 2016 and has received the International President’s Premier Award and President’s Elite Award for ranking in the top one percent of real estate agents internationally for Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage. According to MLS, Rizk has sold the most properties in Arcadia out of any other agent.
