From ice skating and visits with Santa to holidays performances, here’s our list of events and activities happening in Greater San Diego and Temecula Valley this holiday season.

Christmas Tree Lane –Through December 12

At Habitat for Humanity Inland Valley’s annual fundraiser, event-goers will browse through 20 designed Christmas trees with themes such as “Star Wars” and Charlie Brown, all of which will be raffled off.

Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas –Through December 26

Walk around Balboa Park and enjoy the wonderful, whimsical musical based upon the classic Dr. Seuss book.

Holidays at Hotel del Coronado –Through January 2

This season celebrate the wonder and magic of the holidays as America’s beachfront legend transforms into a winter wonderland with the return of the magnificent outdoor ice rink and DELights.

Balboa Park December Nights –December 2-3

A two-day holiday celebration of food, entertainment and fun. The sights, sounds and smells of the holiday season fill the air as the museums and cultural institutions in Balboa Park. Festivities include carolers, live music, light displays, theater and dance performances, and delicious foods from around the world.

Coronado Christmas Parade & Open House –December 2

Santa arrives via the Ferry at the Coronado Ferry Landing, a festive parade follows down Orange Avenue and Santa lights the Christmas Tree in Rotary Plaza during the Coronado Christmas Parade & Open House.

Oceanside Harbor Parade of Lights –December 10

Delight in the festive gatherings along the Mission Bay Christmas Boat Parade of Lights. Dozens of brightly illuminated powerboats and sailboats parade along Mission Bay.

Port of San Diego Bay Parade of Lights –December 11-18

Enjoy the twinkling waters of the San Diego Bay and more than 100 private boats decorated with holiday lights for the annual Port of San Diego Bay Parade of Lights over two weekends in December. Great views are available on dry land from Shelter Island, Harbor Island, the Embarcadero, Seaport Village, Marina Park and Coronado’s Ferry Landing.

Port of San Diego Holiday Bowl Parade –December 27

Gaze up at the massive balloons during the Port of San Diego Holiday Bowl Parade, the country’s largest balloon parade. Floats, balloons and marching bands are just some of the offerings in this colorful holiday parade along San Diego Bay in downtown San Diego.
