From visits with Santa to holidays performances, here’s our list of events and activities happening in the Coachella Valley this holiday season.

Wild Lights at The Living Desert

The Palm Desert zoo’s popular lights display is back. Visitors can take a picture and meet Santa Claus, enjoy live music most nights, ride on a trackless train or a carousel and see a model train display longer than 3,000 feet. 6-9pm through December 31.

A Christmas Story Presented at Theatre 29

Humorist Jean Shepherd’s memoir of growing up in the Midwest in the 1940s follows 9-year-old Ralphie Parker in his quest to get a genuine Red Ryder BB gun under the tree for Christmas. November 18-Decemeber 17

Festival of Lights

Along with the dazzling light display at the Mission Inn, the Festival of Lights includes artisans, live entertainment and more festivities throughout downtown Riverside. The 6-week extravaganza kicks off November 25th.

Official City of Palm Springs Holiday Tree Lighting

Come ring in the holiday season with the Official City of Palm Springs Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration on Thursday, December 1 at Frances Stevens Park in uptown Palm Springs.

23rd Annual Palm Springs Festival of Lights Parade

The 23rd Annual Palm Springs Festival of Lights Parade will take place on Palm Canyon Drive in downtown Palm Springs on Saturday, December 3 at 5:45 pm.

Rockin’ The Holidays Show Supper Club Series

December 7th – Director and pianist Trini Garza has masterfully crafted a vocal masterpiece holiday show. With a Broadway credited cast of four, “Rockin’ the Holidays” shakes up some hits new and old.

12 Days of Holiday Renaissance

Renaissance Indian Wells will celebrate the December holidays with an exciting 12-day roster of fun and festivities, including movie showings in the resort’s brand new R Theater. Kicks off December 20th.
